Human trafficking earns $236 billion a year — the world's third-largest criminal business

Human trafficking is the world's third-largest illegal business after drugs and arms, generating an estimated $236 billion annually. In Poland, law enforcement identified 194 victims in the previous year. Experts warn that increasingly sophisticated online recruitment by criminal networks means virtually anyone can fall victim to the crime.
