US to import 1.15 million metric tons of Mexican sugar in 2026–27

The US Department of Agriculture estimates imports of up to 1.15 million metric tons of Mexican sugar during the 2026–2027 period. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced the figure on X. The increase represents a significant expansion of sugar trade between the two countries.
