Sinner defends Wimbledon title, beats Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4
Jannik Sinner claimed his fifth Grand Slam title and 30th career championship by defeating Alexander Zverev 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon 2026 final. The world No 1 successfully defended his title, bouncing back from a shock second-round exit at the French Open where he lost to Juan Manuel Cerúndolo despite leading by two sets and 5-1. Sinner said the win means a lot given his painful Roland Garros disappointment.
