Rep. Stanton: Hormuz Closure Damages US Economy, Needs Stronger Iran Deal
Rep. Greg Stanton warned that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has raised economic and geopolitical risks for the United States. He called on the Trump administration to develop a stronger diplomatic strategy toward Iran and negotiate a more accountable agreement. Stanton also defended close ties with Canada, Mexico and other US allies as essential to competing with China, and condemned settler violence in the West Bank following an incident involving Rep. Ro Khanna.
