Pogacar Calls for Tour de France Calendar Overhaul After 40°C Heat
Tadej Pogacar called for a radical overhaul of the professional cycling calendar, saying he would stop racing in hot places during July and August if he had the power. His remarks came after another day of extreme heat at the 2026 Tour de France. The ninth stage from Malemort to Ussel was shortened by 30km due to 40°C temperatures and was won by Mathieu van der Poel, with Tom Pidcock finishing third.
