Saying "I don't know" is a sign of a sharp mind, says psychology
According to psychology, people who readily say "I don't know" demonstrate stronger metacognition — the ability to accurately assess the limits of their own knowledge. This trait is more common among genuinely sharp minds than among those projecting false confidence. Recognising what one doesn't know is considered a hallmark of real intelligence.
