Bayeux Tapestry arrives in UK for first time in 900 years, on display from September

The Bayeux Tapestry, the famous artefact depicting events leading up to the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, has arrived in the United Kingdom for the first time in around 900 years, transported under police guard. It will go on public display in September. The tapestry had never previously left France for such a visit to Britain.
