'Michael' Hits $1 Billion Worldwide — A First for Lionsgate

Lionsgate and Universal's Michael has crossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office after 12 weekends in release, becoming the first Lionsgate film ever to reach that milestone. The studio's previous record holder was The Hunger Games: Catching Fire from 2013. Michael is the second film of 2026 to hit $1 billion, after Universal/Illumination/Nintendo's Super Mario Galaxy.
