Zelensky pledges Volhynia exhumations on anniversary and appeals to Poles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked the anniversary of the bloodiest day of the Volhynia massacre by pledging to conduct exhumations of victims on Ukrainian soil. He also addressed an appeal to the Polish people, calling for the building of a shared future between the two nations. The 1943 Volhynia massacre, carried out by the Ukrainian UPA, remains one of the most sensitive issues in Polish-Ukrainian relations.
