Linen, cotton and lyocell best for heat — polyester is the worst choice

For hot weather, natural and cellulosic fabrics — linen, cotton, lyocell (TENCEL™) and hemp — are the best choices, as they allow airflow and wick moisture effectively. Polyester traps heat and causes discomfort even at moderate temperatures. Checking the fabric label before buying is enough to stay comfortable even at 35°C.
