Polish retirees get new plastic ID card with security features from July 13

From July 13, 2026, Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) is issuing retirees and pensioners a new plastic card-format ID replacing the old booklet. The new document features updated design and advanced anti-forgery security measures. Existing old-format cards remain valid and new ones will be issued gradually upon application.
