EU May Cut Biennale Venice Funding Over Invitation to Russia

The European Commission has recommended that the European Education and Culture Executive Agency block funding for the Venice Biennale Foundation. The reason is the foundation's decision to invite Russia to participate in this year's Art Biennale, which the Commission views as incompatible with EU policy towards Moscow.
