Poland women lose to Japan in VNL, slip in FIVB rankings

Poland's women's volleyball team lost to Japan on 12 July during the third leg of the VNL in Osaka, having also faced Turkey, the USA and Brazil in the same phase. The defeat allowed Japan to close the gap on Poland in the FIVB world rankings, worsening the standing of Stefano Lavarini's side.
