Most psychologists diagnosing ADHD don't follow guidelines, study finds

An Australian study reveals a major gap between what psychologists say they do when diagnosing ADHD and what they actually do. While 75% claimed to follow official guidelines, fewer than half completed all required assessment elements, and only one third correctly identified the full set of diagnostic criteria. The findings raise serious questions about the reliability of ADHD diagnoses.
