Iran threatens to close Strait of Hormuz and claims strike on Omani port

Iran has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz as a show of force against the United States. Iranian forces claim they destroyed logistics hubs supporting US aircraft carriers at the port of Duqm in Oman using ballistic missiles. The Middle East is entering another phase of escalation.
