EU defence still heavily reliant on US — no European Patriot, F-35 or Starlink yet

The European Union is pushing to reduce its dependence on the United States for defence, but faces major obstacles. Europe currently has no equivalents to US Patriot and Tomahawk missiles, F-35 jets or Starlink satellite internet. Work on European alternatives is under way, but analysts say true defence autonomy remains a distant goal.
