Pope Leo XIV calls for peace in Ukraine and greets Polish pilgrims at Jasna Góra

Pope Leo XIV, speaking at Castel Gandolfo on Sunday, urged that "new winds of war" must not extinguish hope for peace in conflict zones including the Middle East and Ukraine. He also sent special greetings to Polish pilgrims making their way to Jasna Góra. The Vatican continues its diplomatic engagement in support of ending armed conflicts.
