Man who stabbed mayor of Stara Kornica to undergo psychiatric evaluation

A 42-year-old man suspected of stabbing the mayor of Stara Kornica in Masovia, Beata Jerzman, is to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, prosecutors announced. The attack took place at the end of April and left the mayor hospitalised with serious wounds. The assessment will help determine whether the suspect was mentally competent at the time of the crime.
