West Pomeranian river Gowienica drying up — experts raise alarm

The Gowienica, a river stretching over 50 kilometres in West Pomerania, is drying up at an alarming rate. In many spots where the current was once difficult to cross, just a few steps now suffice to reach the opposite bank. Experts warn that what is happening to the Gowienica may soon become the norm across all of Poland.
