Orlen not negotiating Schwedt refinery purchase due to risk of Russian control

Poland's state assets minister Wojciech Balczun confirmed in response to a parliamentary question that Orlen is not currently negotiating the purchase of the Schwedt refinery or a stake in German company PCK Schwedt. The risk of Russian control over the asset is hampering any potential deal. Schwedt is a strategically important German refinery that has historically been heavily tied to Russian oil supplies.
