Wood pellet prices up 30% as raw material shortage bites

Wood pellet prices in Poland have risen by up to 30% in recent weeks due to increased demand and limited raw material supply, said Agnieszka Kędziora-Urbanowicz, vice-president of the Polish Pellet Council. The Council is set to discuss the situation with the Energy Ministry on 15 July. The price surge could hit households relying on pellet heating.
