US military strikes Iran in Strait of Hormuz after civilian vessel attacked

The US military struck Iran in response to an attack on a civilian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran subsequently declared it was again closing the strait after a ship using an "unauthorized route" was struck by a warning shot in the critical waterway. The incident threatens the already fragile ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.
