Zooey Deschanel: New Girl Cast Had to Fight to Cast Lamorne Morris

Zooey Deschanel has revealed that she and her New Girl co-stars had to "fight" to get Lamorne Morris cast as Winston Bishop on the Fox comedy. Speaking on the Zach Sang Show, Deschanel said Morris, who has since won an Emmy, was not initially a sure pick for the role. She added that the show is now unimaginable without him.
