Kosiniak-Kamysz in Volhynia: exhumations of massacre victims a matter of utmost importance

Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz attended Volhynia massacre anniversary commemorations in Ukraine, calling the exhumation and dignified burial of victims' remains a matter of the utmost importance for Poland. He stressed that "forgiveness is always the final goal." The Volhynia massacre, in which OUN-UPA forces killed an estimated 100,000 Poles in 1943–1945, remains one of the most sensitive issues in Polish-Ukrainian relations.
