Monsoon floods and landslides kill at least 44 in Bangladesh

Heavy monsoon rains have triggered deadly floods and landslides across Bangladesh, killing at least 44 people. More than one million residents in the south-eastern part of the country have been cut off from the outside world. Authorities are conducting rescue operations in the inundated areas.
