Czechs flock to Poland for cheaper butter at Lidl and Biedronka

Czech cross-border shopping trips to Poland have surged, driven by significantly lower butter prices at Lidl and Biedronka. During peak inflation, the Czech government had even encouraged its citizens to shop in Poland, but the scale of the phenomenon has now become a concern for Czech producers and authorities. Butter has become the symbol of a widening price gap between the two neighbouring countries.
