Nawrocki pledges law banning UPA flags in Poland after Volhynia anniversary
President Karol Nawrocki, speaking at a ceremony marking the anniversary of the Volhynia massacres, pledged to do "everything" to ensure there is no place for UPA flags in Poland and announced plans for legislation to that effect. He stressed that Poland accuses "Banderist ideology" and those who murdered, not the Ukrainian nation as a whole. Nawrocki also drew a parallel between the Volhynia tragedy and the suffering caused by the war in Ukraine.
