Baltic coast summer prices squeeze Polish tourists' wallets

Prices at Polish Baltic Sea resorts during the summer season are significantly higher than elsewhere in the country, a phenomenon dubbed "promenade economics". Food, drinks and tourist attractions in seaside towns are routinely marked up at the expense of holidaymakers. The trend puts a serious strain on the budgets of Poles vacationing at the coast each year.
