Polish diplomat in Ołyka: shame over past violence helps us understand what builds the present
Piotr Łukasiewicz, Poland's chargé d'affaires in Ukraine, attended Saturday's commemorations for the victims of the Volhynia massacre held in Ołyka, Ukraine. He stated that "through shame for past violence we better understand the values that build our present." The ceremony coincides with the 83rd anniversary of the Volhynia Bloody Sunday and parallel commemorations in Warsaw.
