Mine tremor in Lubin – rescue operation underway, trapped miner contacted

A seismic tremor struck the Lubin mine in the Lower Silesian voivodeship, trapping a mining machine operator underground. Rescuers have established contact with the trapped worker and are working to free him safely, according to KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. A full rescue operation is currently underway at the site.
