Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge now streaming
Mel Gibson's 2016 World War II film Hacksaw Ridge, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival to critical acclaim, is now available on streaming platforms. The film follows conscientious objector Desmond Doss, played by Andrew Garfield, who saved dozens of soldiers at the Battle of Okinawa without carrying a weapon. Gibson previously directed large-scale war films including Braveheart and We Were Soldiers.
