Xbox Moved Obsidian to a New Fallout Game, Cancelling an Avowed Sequel
Microsoft has redirected Obsidian Entertainment, creators of Fallout: New Vegas, to work on a new Fallout game, reportedly at the cost of a sequel to Avowed. The studio lost approximately a quarter of its staff in Xbox's broader 3,200-person layoff wave. The shift marks a significant strategic change for Obsidian, which only recently released Avowed.
