International student numbers in Poland drop as universities lose appeal

Two years of recruitment chaos have taken their toll on Polish universities, with international student numbers falling sharply. University rectors warn that both higher education institutions and the broader Polish economy are suffering, and that Poland's reputation in the global education market has weakened. The Ministry of Science nonetheless aims to double the number of foreign students in Poland within a decade.
