Milan family returns 40 kg of sand taken from Sardinia 50 years ago

A woman from Milan returned 40 kg of sand that her mother had taken from Sardinian beaches 50 years ago. Her mother had been unaware that removing sand from Sardinia is prohibited and made returning it her dying wish. Sardinia has long struggled with tourists illegally taking sand from its beaches.
