EU adopts new air passenger rights after 10 years of negotiations

After more than ten years of negotiations, the European Parliament and EU member states have reached agreement on new air passenger rights. The new rules largely favour travellers and come into force ahead of the summer holiday season. The regulations cover areas including compensation and flight delays.
