Milan woman returns 40 kg of sand stolen from Sardinia beach 50 years ago

A woman from Milan returned 40 kg of sand to Sardinia that her family had taken from a beach roughly 50 years ago. In doing so, she fulfilled her late mother's dying wish. Removing sand and stones from Sardinian beaches is illegal in Italy and carries heavy fines.
