82nd anniversary of Volhynia massacre: no exhumations, no confirmed death toll

July 11, 1943 marks the symbolic peak of the Volhynia massacre, when the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) killed tens of thousands of Polish civilians in Volhynia. The death toll is estimated at between 50,000 and 150,000, but cannot be confirmed without exhumations. Ukraine has so far blocked access to burial sites, preventing the establishment of undisputed historical facts.
