Google Maps Bug Causes Wrong-Way Driving on S1 Expressway Near Węgierska Górka

Four wrong-way driving incidents were recorded over nine months on the S1 expressway bypass near Węgierska Górka. The Katowice branch of GDDKiA says some drivers are following erroneous Google Maps instructions that suggest a U-turn in a prohibited zone after missing an exit. The authority warns this poses a serious safety risk on the high-speed road.
