Nolan: Young audiences are harshly rejecting AI-generated slop in cinema

Director Christopher Nolan told The Telegraph that young moviegoers are delivering "immediate and harsh" verdicts against AI-generated content in cinema. He pointed to the success of low-budget, enigmatic horror films like Backrooms and Obsession as proof that young audiences still crave genuine artistry, comparing parts of Backrooms to David Lynch's most obscure work. Nolan made the comments one week ahead of his new film The Odyssey's theatrical release, dismissing the idea that young viewers have short attention spans.
