Netflix recasts Robert Langdon role, replacing Tom Hanks

Netflix has officially recast the role of Robert Langdon, replacing Tom Hanks who played the character across three Ron Howard films. The trilogy grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide despite poor reviews — The Da Vinci Code earned just 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. The final instalment, Inferno, brought in only $220 million, ending the theatrical run.
