Turkey seeks to sell Russian S-400s to lift US sanctions and rejoin F-35 programme

Turkey is negotiating the resale of its Russian-made S-400 air-defence systems, hoping the move will persuade the United States to lift CAATSA sanctions imposed over the purchase. Ankara also aims to regain access to the F-35 fighter jet programme, from which it was excluded in 2019 following the S-400 deal. Turkish media reported on the ongoing negotiations on Friday.
