Storm hits Vistula Spit: 4-metre waves destroy beach bars and infrastructure

A powerful storm and hurricane-force winds hit the Vistula Spit in Poland, with waves reaching nearly four metres and wind speeds exceeding 100 km/h. Water pushed dozens of metres inland, destroying beach bars, sun loungers, umbrellas and service points. Local residents and tourists spent two days battling the aftermath of the storm in a show of collective solidarity.
