Polish Health Minister Defends 240 zł/Hour Cap on Contract Doctors

Polish Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda defended a plan to cap the pay of contract doctors at 240 zł per hour, calling the figure "fairly calculated." The ministry says the changes aim to streamline the healthcare system and improve patient care quality. The minister also acknowledged that the National Health Fund faces a 14 billion zł financial shortfall.
