NASA Captures Waxing Gibbous Moon from ISS Above Indian Ocean

On June 26, 2026, the International Space Station captured an image of the waxing gibbous moon while orbiting 264 miles above the Indian Ocean southeast of Madagascar. The waxing gibbous phase occurs just before the full moon, during which the Moon appears progressively brighter in Earth's night sky. The image was released by NASA.
