Hungary joins EU anti-fraud prosecutor EPPO under new government
The European Commission approved Hungary's accession to the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO), which protects EU funds from financial crime. The decision was announced on Friday by EC spokesperson Guillaume Mercier. Hungary had long blocked membership in the EPPO under Viktor Orbán; the move follows the political change brought by Peter Magyar's party.
