Jeffrey Wright at Karlovy Vary: America must be a beacon of real freedom

American actor Jeffrey Wright received the President's Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Speaking to journalists, he said America should strive to be "a beacon of real freedom, not hypocritical freedom," and that this ideal is something people "take for granted." He also argued that film has a unique power to express "common humanity."
