Poland appeals €1.3bn Pfizer ruling over uncollected COVID-19 vaccines
Poland's Ministry of Health is preparing an appeal against a court ruling ordering the country to pay Pfizer more than 5.5 billion złoty (over €1.3 billion) for COVID-19 vaccines that were not collected in 2022. Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda stressed that it is the Polish state that is the defendant. The ministry is coordinating the appeal with the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Finance.
