Sony Bank's US unit Connectia Trust cleared to issue dollar stablecoin

Sony Bank has cleared an initial hurdle with the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for issuing a dollar-pegged stablecoin. Its new US subsidiary, Connectia Trust, will be the issuing entity once the regulator's final conditions are met.
