IPN research: Outside Poles and German agent Kosmowski took part in Jedwabne massacre

Unpublished research by the Białystok branch of Poland's Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) indicates that the 1941 Jedwabne massacre involved a group of Poles brought in from outside the town, as well as a German agent named Mieczysław Kosmowski. The findings could significantly alter the established understanding of who was responsible for the atrocity. The research has not yet been formally published.
