Hungary revokes Ziobro's refugee status, but extradition depends on US law
Hungary has officially revoked refugee status for Zbigniew Ziobro, Marcin Romanowski and Patrycja Kotecka-Ziobro. Polish investigators hope this will ease a potential extradition of the former justice minister, but lawyers warn that Hungary's decision does not automatically strip him of US residency rights — US federal law is the key factor. Attorney Jarosław Kurpiejewski stressed the case will be decided "primarily under US law."
